Designing a stackable wooden chair is a tricky business. Wide back, narrow seat, the necessary ingredients for stackability do not always contribute to a harmonious form. With the April chair, my primary intention was to reduce as much as possible these characteristics that make wooden stacking chairs look bulky.To achieve this, I kept the back legs as low as possible, allowing the visually light back to continue upwards with minimal materials.
