When I was told by Industry+ we had the opportunity to make a chair prototype with a Japanese bentwood manufacturer, I decided to experiment with a chair shape that could only be achieved with steam bending. In that sense, Kei can be considered as a research on the formal expressiveness of the wood bending process.
